  • Fighting racism, homophobia, discrimination and intolerance

  • Taking on the government, Labour or Tory, when our members are affected

  • Being a powerful voice in Holyrood and Westminster, as well as in the STUC

    Jane Carolan is not offering slogans but a record of work on these issues. Jane not only strongly influenced union policy on defending our pensions but has been part of the demonstrations and lobbies when we need to take action. She has led the union's anti-racism and anti-BNP work; she put equal pay at the heart of the NEC agenda. With Davie Prentis, she has advocated a new minimum wage of £6.50.... more>>
